The Zonta Clubs of Niagara Falls and St. Catharines invite you to join us as we celebrate the beginning of 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence on November 24th.

Our evening will start at 9:00 pm and feature guest speaker, Dr. Robyn Bourgeois, and music by Indigenous-led drum and singing group, Strong Water Singers.

The event will be followed by a short walk to the Falls, which will turn orange at 9:45 pm, in solidarity.

We would be honoured if you could join us for this memorable evening.

CANDLE LIGHT VIGIL Guest Speaker

We are honoured to have Dr. Robyn Bourgeois as our guest speaker this year!

Dr. Bourgeios is an associate professor in the Centre for Women’s and Gender studies at Brock University and currently serves as the university’s Vice-Provost, Indigenous Engagement.

As a survivor of multiple forms of violence, her research examines violence against Indigenous women and girls, but also Indigenous women’s anti-violence leadership. In addition to speaking and publishing nationally and internationally, Dr. Bourgeois testified as an experiential and expert witness at the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls in October 2018.

Along with being an academic, Robyn is an activist, artist, and proud mom to three kids.
